Roslyn Singleton has died at the age of 39 after battling brain cancer since 2013, her husband Ray Singleton confirmed.
He shared a montage of images of the America’s Got Talent star on Instagram, telling her followers: ‘Our wife earned her wings yesterday while peacefully sleeping right at home where she wanted to be.
‘This road ahead is going to be INCREDIBLY long & difficult! She taught us all SOMETHING…She’s where we’re all trying to get one day so no need to be sad!
‘Now we celebrate her legacy, her impact, her story & HER SPIRIT! She will LIVE FOREVER!! #LongLiveRos #F**kCancer.’
Roslyn had been a fan favourite after starring on America’s Got Talent as well as The Ellen DeGeneres Show
The couple had spoken to Ellen on the talk show in 2020 after a video of Ray serenading his wife before she underwent surgery for brain cancer went viral.
During the appearance, the navy veteran revealed she had been undergoing treatment since 2013 and had been in remission until she was diagnosed with another tumour in 2019.
Following news of her death, Ellen paid tribute on social media, writing: ‘I was devastated to hear that the incredible Roslyn passed away a few days ago.
‘She was such a light in the face of really difficult circumstances. I hope her memory inspires you the way it inspires me. Sending all her loved ones so much love and strength, especially her amazing husband, Ray.’
Roslyn had told Novant Health in an interview earlier this year: ‘Whenever there’s something going on in my life, God always puts the right people just right in front of me to make it a little easier.
‘I know what God can do. My constant statement to him is: “Prove them wrong, prove them wrong.”’
Ray and Roslyn had documented her journey with cancer and treatment on social media, with Roslyn sharing an audio message to her followers just a day before her death saying she ‘doesn’t feel any pain’.
Her funeral will take place on Saturday, November 26 in South Carolina.
